The 100-Mile SUP Challenge

Your 2026 Paddling Goal

There’s something about a clean slate that makes paddlers dream big. Maybe it is a flat, calm water during your morning paddle, maybe it’s the fresh calendar, maybe it’s the itch to get back on the water after too many dry weeks. Either way, now’s the perfect time to set a goal that keeps you paddling with purpose all year long.

The 100 Miles Paddling Challenge has entered the chat for 2026.
That’s it. Simple, doable, and guaranteed to make your next season on the water better than the last.

100-Mile SUP Challenge, a yearlong goal to help you stay consistent, accountable, and connected with a community of paddlers doing the same.

100 Miles seem to easy? We’ve got a bigger one waiting: The 1K Challenge. Yup, that’s 1,000 miles in a calendar year. No prizes, just bragging rights and a solid core and shoulders.

Why 100 Miles?

Because 100 miles gives your paddling year structure. It’s a goal that’s big enough to mean something, but not so big that you’ll burn out by summer.
It will keep you motivated when life gets busy, when weather gets weird, and when the couch starts whispering your name.

More importantly, it connects you to a larger community of paddlers who are out there doing the same thing, logging miles, chasing sunrises, and sharing the stoke.

How to Track It

You’ve got options.

  • Paddle Logger – simple, reliable, and built for SUP. Track distance, time, and log conditions right from your phone. Activities on Paddle Logger will link to Strava. Learn more about all that Paddle Logger can do.

  • Strava – great if you like stats, competition, and seeing where you rank among other paddlers.

  • Watersports Tracker - an app dedicated to tracking all kinds of water sports from SUP, kayaking, sailing, and kitesurfing.

SUP Club Newsletter has set up a SUP Club Strava Leaderboard so you can join the fun, post your sessions, and watch your miles climb next to everyone else’s. Just sign up for Strava (the free version is fine), and join our Leaderboard.
Post your pictures and progress on all the socials, tag @SUPClubNews, and don’t forget to tag your posts with #SUP100Miles on Instagram or Facebook. It’s how the community stays connected and motivated all over the world.

Your Seasonal Game Plan

You don’t have to be on the water every weekend to hit 100 miles. A little planning goes a long way.

  • Winter: Keep your body ready. Cross-train, lift some weights, do yoga, or use a TRX Suspension Training set up. Stay paddle-fit even if your board’s in storage.

  • Spring: Ease back into it. Short paddles, familiar routes, and focus on building consistency.

  • Summer: Peak mileage season. Long days, warm water, and big adventures. Stack your miles now.

  • Fall: Finish strong. Explore new spots, mix in endurance paddles, and wrap up your goal before the cold really sets in.

If you average just 2-3 miles a week, you’ll hit your 100 by year’s end. Easy math, hard commitment.

For the Overachievers: The 1K Challenge

Some of you are already thinking 100 miles is a warm-up. Cool. You’re built different and we love you for that.
The 1K Challenge is for paddlers who want to make 2026 their strongest season yet. No medals, no sponsors; just pride. When someone asks what you did this year, you’ll have an answer worth repeating.

Final Mile

The 100-Mile SUP Challenge isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up.

So make the commitment now.
Start strong. Paddle often.
And when the weather turns nice, you’ll already have momentum.
